As of October 1, 2022, there has been an increase in the standard housing costs amount. The amount corresponding to the average housing costs for a single person in a rental apartment in a municipality with a population of 50,000 to 99,999 residents has been raised by 4,500 CZK to 12,435 CZK. However, for the calculation of the exempt minimum income, only half of this amount will be used, unlike in the past.
